One thing I try to stay away from is taking on clients, but it’s hard to tell a friend or a family member “no”, so every now and then I have to travel and help solve a problem. Hand tools and power tools are essential for most projects, and I can’t assume that they will be readily available on location. This Husky Connect Rolling System Tool Box is a great way to grab what I need for the road. There are a total of 3 mobile systems. From top to bottom; there is a small parts organizer, the main toolbox, and rolling cart at the base. The small parts organizer is great for storing screws, bits, and all sorts of miscellaneous parts. The toolbox sits in the middle and is the perfect place for smaller drills, screwdrivers, hammers etc. Last but not least you have the rolling cart for larger tools like your circular saw, sander, and router, with room to spare.

With all the bins being stacked the rolling system stands around 28 inches tall.
In the small parts organizer, there are two bin sizes. The cover is clear which allows for easy visibility without having to open the lid.
- (8) Small bins 4 5/8in W X 3 1/8in D X 3 1/2in H
- (2) Large bins 9 3/16in W X 3 1/8in D X 3 1/2in H
All three bins can stack and lock into place, so as you disconnect the small parts bin you now have access to the toolbox. Within the toolbox, there is a tool tray. The tray takes up just over half of the opening which allows visibility to the rest of the toolbox contents. The overall depth of the toolbox is just over 9 inches, with the tray installed, you are left with about 6 inches of clearance. This compartment is great for storing hand tools and smaller power tools.
The rolling cart is so handy! It is the core piece of the system and at just over 13 inches deep, there is plenty of storage space. The telescoping handle and 7inch wheels, attached to the base, make this the perfect toolbox for transporting your tools.
With room to spare I was able to load up a decent amount of tools and hardware in each box.
For the price, this is a great system. It’s sturdy and well built. Keep in mind that you can remove the small parts bins for additional storage as these are not fixed.
If you need even more storage check out these two add-ons
- Lots of storage
- Easy to transport
- Screw bin and the toolbox can be disconnected and carried by the handle
- Not watertight
I have nothing but good things to say about this toolbox. The design is well thought out. You get two complete boxes and one bottom cart. The wheels make it so easy to lug your tools around. When I was a technician this would have worked great instead of making multiple trips to the truck. I may not use these very often because I’m in the shop most of the time, but it will be one of the first things I’ll grab when I need to head out. Looking forward to getting many years of use out of it.
