The GLL 50 self-leveling cross line laser leveler from Bosch level can align your work with professional accuracy. It’s a great solution for small areas, large rooms, and hallways. The kit features a laser with vertical, horizontal and cross line modes. It projects two separate lines independently or together. One of the things I love about this, and I think you will too is you can put the laser in a manual mode and use the tool at any angle. So if you want to install photos, artwork, and other items parallel to stairways, you can. Being clumsy is not something that comes naturally (at least I don’t think so). You will more than likely have a few days where nothing seems to go your way, and you may drop a thing or two as you’re trying to work, I know I’m guilty of this. It’s good to know that the Bosch self-leveling cross line laser is a pretty sturdy device, thanks to the over-molded construction.
Let’s talk about the most important part, the range! The laser is clearly visible and highly accurate from up to 50 feet that allows for a broad range of applications. The accuracy at 33 feet is +/- 1/8 inch, which offers more than enough precision for any professional or DIY projects.
The Bosch GLL 50 self-leveling cross line laser comes with a BM3 positioning device which means that you can enjoy a faster and simpler setup on the ceiling grid application. This is not a feature you will often use unless you do ceiling grids for a living. One thing to not overlook is the BM3 positioning device. It allows you to make micro adjustments to the height. Oh, by the way, it has magnets on the mounting bracket. These strong magnets will hold on to different metals for a quick setup and go. No worries, if you don’t have anything metal in your workspace. You can directly attach it to a standard tripod with a 1/4in port.
Another feature of the Bosch self-leveling cross line laser is the VisiMax technology. This feature protects the laser diodes from overheating. It continuously monitors the temperature of the diode so that it delivers a crisp line for the best visibility. The built-in smart pendulum system allows the tool to self-level. It also indicates when the device is not leveled to ensure you get it right the first time. The pendulum can be locked when not in use or when you need to transport it.
The Bosch self-leveling cross line laser level kit also eliminates the need for multiple tools for all of your leveling and alignment projects. It boasts of superior features all in one nimble and sturdy kit.
Overall, if you love simplicity, this is your tool! The GLL 50 self-leveling cross line laser leveler passed my approval test! The only thing I could complain about is the protective case. There is no room for the BM3 mount; I don’t understand that part! I can see this being a challenge to keep track of the two.
